Our private school in Berlin-Pankow is a state-approved comprehensive school with a upper secondary school and a bilingual track in German/English. Through our approach of project-oriented and self-organised learning as well as our focus on art and digital media, we promote the key skills for the 21st century and prepare our students for the challenges of the future.

Art focus
We are an art-focused school and have spacious workshops, excellently equipped studios and professionally qualified teachers. In our school's own Maker Space, we combine forms of classical artistic work with techniques of the digital age. In the Middle School we offer elective courses in four art disciplines, and in the Upper School art can be taken as an advanced course.
Digital focus
We have been awarded the title of Excellent Digital School by the Berlin Senate Administration for our exemplary use of modern learning methods and digital tools. We offer coding as a subject from the primary level onwards. We use MS Teams EDU as our learning management system. In 2021, our school won the "Young Star" award at the international "Make-IT Digital Talent" Competition.
International Community
We see ourselves as an inclusive and cosmopolitan school community. Many of our students and teachers have an international background. We are involved in numerous European projects within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme and have been designated as a school without racism. In addition to our bilingual branch in German/English, we offer German as a foreign or second language.
Individual support, intensive mentoring
At the Klax School, the focus is on the individual learning goals of each and every student. No matter which qualification you are aiming for - whether (e)BBR, MSA or Abitur - we accompany our students on their learning path and care intensively about the successful achievement of their personal goals. With our strong school community, we are able to offer a wide range of support services. To ensure that our students know what aim for after leaving school, career and study orientation events are deeply integrated into the curriculum.
Highlights from our school life
Nominated for the German School Award
For our unique concept in distance learning and our excellent support of families in lockdown, we were the only Berlin school nominated for the German School Award Special 20/21. From day one, we were able to use digital solutions and continue teaching almost seamlessly. During the entire pandemic, not a single day of lessons had to be cancelled at our school. Thanks to our excellent technical equipment as well as our modern learning concept, we are able to react flexibly to changes.
